Yay my new sneakers from Shoeshibar have arrived! I've been looking for an alternative for my white ones but they had to be in a neutral color. Since Common Projects sneakers are sadly enough out of my budget, I kept looking for a similar pair. And aren't these amazing? The nude color is a great match with colours like white, beige or grey. Today I wore my all time favorite sweater from Zara and combined it with a grey pencil skirt. Can you believe I could walk around with bare legs while it's December?! Well, I don't mind at all. Have a nice day!
It's holiday season! I just realized that while I've already prepared some cute outfits, I honestly haven't thought about what I should do with my hair. I know, first world problems, right? It's not that I haven't pinned hundreds of hairdos on Pinterest, but I'm just never convinced of the result when I try it myself. And then I'm grumpy and disappointed that none of my friends are hair stylist... But ok, enough nagging already! When Montattoo, this cool brand with the pretty temporary tattoos, asked me if I'd be interested in their hair tattoos I immediately said yes. Tattoos on your hair?! I know, it sounds weird but it actually looks fancy and kind of makes me think of something Khaalesi. would wear. How do you use it? You just have to apply them on your hair with some water et voilà !
Whenever I'm shopping, I think in terms of colours. I've got a check list in my head with all of the sweaters and jackets I already have. This dark orange tone is a colour I had actually never worn before because it's not that easy to match. But guess what, things have changed! You can combine it with denim if you like a seventies kind of vibe or with black or earth tones. I've kept it simple with my chalk white Superstars and black comfy high waist trousers. Oh and I added some sparkle with my favorite pair of copper glitter socks. The perfect Sunday outfit!
What's up peops? Do you know that feeling when you've got something very unusual on your mind tbut you just can't stop thinking about it? Well, I had this feeling when I tried on knee boots a couple of months ago. I actually kind of did it as a joke because I'm obviously a sneaker kind of girl. And then it happened: I looked at myself in the mirror and these suede knee boots actually didn't look that bad... I decided to wait until they were on sale but I just couldn't get them out of my head. They were just perfect. Annnnnd that escalated quickly! Last week I decided not to wait any longer, so ta-daaaa here they are!
Coats, coats, coats. You can never have enough of them, in my opinion. Besides clean and simple footwear, it's essential to have some nice basic outerwear. Because, let's be honest, sometimes all the perfect outfit needs, is the perfect coat. I've already got a, a-hum, tiny collection but I'm still looking for a navy or light grey one. So if you see one, let me know! Since it's that time of the year to add another gorgeous coat, I wanted to inspire you guys. So here's are some items I'm actually very jealous of.
Hi sweets! Today I'm wearing something totally different. Normally I can't stop wearing my sneakers but I decided to wear my brand new suede 70s inspired skirt. Since it is really the item to wear this Autumn and Winter, I decided it had to try it. I always want to try every new trend so I matched it with my favorite but old pair of ankle boots, a leather jacket and a turtle neck sweater. Even though I like this skirt, I still have to get used to this. But I have to admit that this outfit instantly makes you feel like a French girl and that isn't a bad thing, is it?
Would you add a button-up skirt to your wardrobe?
Hi sweets! It's been a while since I've bought my first pair of Adidas Superstars. Or no, it has only been a couple of months... Oh well, my sneaker addiction might be getting out of hand but I just had to buy these cream coloured suede Superstars. They're just everything I love: a neutral color and suede. So today I decided to wear shades of beige and I kind of feel like a golden retriever. Don't laugh, I know it's a weird association but I'm a dog person. Hope you had fun this weekend!
Hi you guys! It's November and probably the last time this year that I can stroll around with bare legs. Today I'm wearing my new suede Air Force Ones with this incredibly soft sweater from Zara I bought last week. These days I love to wear neutral colors like beige, grey and white, so I've got a new excuse to add some new items to my closet. Too bad I just can't throw away clothes I don't wear anymore. Have a nice Sunday evening!
We've all got an item on our wish list for years. Well, mine is a cool suit. And guess what I've found yesterday... You should have seen my face when I discovered this amazing pinstriped suit. And it was on sale!! Normally trousers don't fit me that well (petite girl problems), but I was shocked when these fitted like a glove. I just can't stress enough what a great addition this is to your wardrobe. It looks great with sneakers or heeled derby shoes and you can even wear it with a crop top. Oh and I've got a confession to make: wearing a suit secretly makes you feel like a boss lady. What do you guys think?
Hi you guys, it's been a while! First of all, I've got some good news... I've got my very first job! So from now on I'm officially a copywriter. Since I've survived my first week at work, I decided to treat myself with a little gift. This olive jumpsuit I'm wearing is just what I was looking for. And it even was on sale! I just love this color and it's the perfect Indian Summer outfit, isn't it?
Enjoy your Sunday!
It wasn't love at first sight, not at all. When my best friend told me that he thought that culottes would look great on me, I shivered. Wide trousers that look as if they're too short? I don't think so. I already tend to look like a tiny human being without wide trousers so why would I accentuate that? But the more I saw them, the more I felt the urge to give them a chance. When my best friend eventually bought an amazing pair in a banana leaves print, I was convinced that culottes surely can look great and elegant on someone. Nevertheless, after a couple of dramatic moments in the fitting room I felt that they just aren't my cup of tea. They just looked ridiculous on me. Until... I saw an amazing navy jumpsuit on sale at Zara. It had a sophisticated top and the pants part was a culotte. I know, it must sound weird but it looked surprisingly cool. Okay, I kind of cheated because it's a jumpsuit but I just wanted to say that Biebs was right: Never say never. Well, at least when it comes to fashion trends.
Hi you guys! I've had a blast at Pukkelpop this weekend but sadly enough I came home with a fever. So since I'm lying in bed all day and I'm actually extremely bored, I decided it was time for another outfit update. Right before I packed my bags for Pukkelpop, I decided to wear something that I wouldn't be able to wear at the festival: lots of white. Oh and I finally I caved for Adidas Superstars. Aren't they lovely?
What's up you guys? I'm melting at the moment! Guess I'm not used to these temperatures anymore or it might be because of my sunburn. I really look like a lobster. Yep, pale girl problems! Luckily I've been goofing around a couple of days ago in this second hand shirt I've bought at Think Twice. Being a pastel admirer, I've added some baby pink socks to this look. I hope you guys have a nice evening, I think I will be laying on the floor to cool off.
Well hello there! It's been a week since I've left the romantic streets of France and I'm still sad about it. Luckily I've bought myself a souvenir: white chunky sandals. They're the perfect match with actually Summer outfit. Today I've spent the morning listening to my 90s play list - my guilty pleasure - and the thought of the Backstreet Boys members and Britney Spears got me inspired. So I decided to wear denim and I went all the way. What do you guys think?
May your Sunday be as sunny as mine!
Hi you guys! This week I stumbled on this amazing Autumn-Winter capsule collection bij the young talented Belgian designer Ilke Cop. Her brand stands for high quality, durability and a young and broad-minded vision on fashion. I immediately fell in love with how fun and cute this collection looks. Oh and how could you resist pastel AND dinosaurs?!
The last couple of days I've been extremely indecisive. I guess you're all familiar with that "I don't know what to wear" crisis. So whenever I keep doubting about outfits to a level where I'm almost too late for school or a date, I taught myself to quickly grab a pair of jeans. Just a small thing that makes life a little bit easier! But I have to admit that sometimes I can't make up my mind about what I'm going to wear with denim (I know life's biggest problem right?). So today I've chosen a couple of inspiring denim looks. And remember: When in doubt, wear denim.
I've got a confession to make: I suspect I'm psychic when it comes to clothes. No, seriously! A couple of days ago, I posted inspirational pictures of white outfits on the blog and it made me long for a white coat. Guess what I've found at a thrift store the day after? You've guessed it! It seems that I keep having these coincidences and you won't hear me complaining. So today I've combined this vintage cream coat with some whites, but I didn't go all the way. I just couldn't resist it, I had to add some pastel. What do you guys think?
This week, I had a coup de foudre with a sweater in this marble kind of print. I mean, just look at it! Another item on this week's wish list is a wrap skirt that reminds me of my youth during the nineties. I used to laugh at what I used to wear as a kid, imagine extremely wide trousers, crop tops and Buffalo shoes, but this skirt brings back a positive nineties vibe. Oh and well... Those Adidas Superstars... I've been thinking about buying them for a while but I constantly change my mind because you see them everywhere. But I have to admit that I love how clean this pair looks. Help me out!
This Belgian weather is getting on my nerves! I'm sick of this grey stormy weather. It's supposed to be Spring and I just can't wait to stroll around with bare legs. However, meanwhile I've found a solution: we can brighten our moods by wearing white. I have to admit that I wasn't really feeling white outfits in the past. It kind of reminded me of outfits you should wear when you have a yacht or when you're a professional golf player. But Pinterest made me change my mind. I've collected some white outfits that actually look really good. I'm definitely going to try this look. What do you guys think?
I can't help it, I've got this thing for bomber jackets. A couple of days ago I visited my favorite secondhand shop: Think Twice. Once a month, they sell all their items for three, two and even one euro per piece. You really can't imagine how thrilled I am every month since I've discovered this store. This time, I've found an oversized burgundy jacket for only two euros. Today I got inspired by the ton sur ton look so I combined my jacket with these old trousers that I actually wanted to throw away (glad I didn't!). It kind of gives the illusion of wearing a suit or a track suit from the 90s. You could say I kind of felt like being The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. And that's a good thing in my opinion.
It's been a while since I've been hunting for a specific item to add to my closet. This Winter, I got the urge to find the perfect pair of black flats. They had to be elegant, my feet weren't supposed to look gigantic in them and they had to be different. So when I saw these black beauties (I'm sorry, my sense of humor is terrible) at the new And Other Stories, in Gent I couldn't resist them.
Another week, another wish list! One of the main things on this list is this striped bikini. The last couple of days, holidays have been on my mind while I'm still struggling through my last months of school. I can't wait to go to France with my friends in July and I realised I could use a new bikini. My problem with bikini's is that I always tend to choose black ones, while it makes me look even paler. So I was happy to find this striped one at Cos! Oh well and this metallic backpack would also be perfect for a holiday.
A couple of weeks ago, I discovered this blog called Style and Wellbeing. I immediately loved her sense of style and I especially got inspired by this outfit. It's simple but also colorful and sophisticated.
Hi you guys! Today I stumbled upon a new Belgian sportswear brand called NBMSM. When I saw their cute crop tops, swimsuits and bomber jackets I couldn't stop myself from oohing and ahing. I just had to share their new collection with you!
Whenever I'm not sure what to wear these days, I tend to grab an item out of my close that is striped. Today I've put on a 90s inspired striped turtleneck with some new chunky sandals I've found last week.
The sunnier it gets, the more I get the urge to perk up my outfits. So when I saw the SS15 Herschel Supply collection, I couldn't get my eyes off it. First of all, I'm on a infinite quest of pretty backpacks because I often tend to carry around so many things that won't fit in a normal sized bag. And secondly: have you seen these gorgeous pastel colours? Prepare to be amazed!
Spring is coming but it sure isn't here yet! I have to admit that bare legs were a little bit too enthusiastic. Nevertheless, I decided to wear my new eye lashes shirt from SheInside with a pastel blue coat and neoprene skirt.
You can't imagine how much time I've spent in front of my wardrobe. Whether it's because I suddenly get the urge to throw everything away that hasn't been touched since I bought it, or when I just can't decide on what I should wear. Sounds familiar, right? Although my wardrobe has the perfect size, I felt like there was something missing. So when I got the opportunity to give my closet a makeover with Farrow & Ball wallpaper, I realised what my wardrobe needed: colour and a touch of freshness.
So my brain started to think in terms of Pinterest boards and I immediately got my eyes on the tourbillon print in a minty green.
Denim hasn't really disappeared from the fashion scene over the past years, but I'm shocked to announce you that there will be a denim overload this Spring and Summer. Remember the embarrassment you felt after looking at pictures from the 90s where jeans were matched with a denim shirt and jacket? Well frankly my dear: those days are back (at least if you're courageous enough to go all the way!).
You probably can't imagine how an infinite amount of denim can be fashionable (neither could I), so let me enlighten you with some catwalk footage. But first of all, let me introduce you to some outfits that made me frown.
